About
Pixel Thread is a user experience consultancy specialising in simple and smart prototypes of interactive products and services. We’re based in Bristol, but we work on projects for clients all over the UK – mostly in London.
Who
Pixel Thread is led by Sam Menter who has worked at some of the UK’s best design agencies as well as on chunky in-house projects with multiple stakeholders for the BBC.
Sam has been designing digital experiences for ten years. He cut his teeth at lastminute.com in the late 1990s, and went on to work as a freelance web designer.
BBC experience
Subsequently working in-house at the BBC, Sam worked on projects for Radio 3, CBBC online and led the re-design of learn.gateway, a hub for learning and development on the BBC’s award-winning intranet.
Sam has worked on projects for user centred design consultants CX Partners for Enable Interactive – voted the UK’s number one digital agency by readers of Revolution magazine and for True Digital.
Network of specialists
Where necessary, Pixel Thread works with a trusted network of specialists: researchers, designers and front-end developers.
For example, this site was coded by Robeam a top-notch interface developer also based in Bristol.
